Minyan Magazine publishes poetry and flash fiction written by Jews and their allies alongside one another. Although we like work with a Jewish theme, we also enjoy work with secular themes. Send us your best, regardless of the theme! Please note that we are a journal of tolerance. It would be a great idea to look at our previous issues to get a sense of what we publish, and all of our issues are free to read! Send us your best!

Unsolicited submissions containing three to five previously unpublished poems or up to three flash fiction stories are welcome year-round.

Simultaneous submissions are allowed. However, confirmation of acceptance is regarded as a commitment to publication, and it is expected that your work will not be later withdrawn for placement with another publication. Also, should we accept your work, and it has been submitted to other journals, you are expected to notify those journals of your acceptance. Rights revert to the author immediately upon publication in Minyan. However, should your work be republished, please credit Minyan as first publishing the work. Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to provide a payment of accepted work at this time, but we will nominate contributors’ work for major awards and anthologies.
